Hello!!

I've been looking around the internet for some inspiration for the kit I'm working on, but it's not very easy to decide what to add :o) Because of that, I decided to give you a small freebie before I get the kit done, this time it's a template I made.
Here's what I made from it:

I haven't added anything at all to decorate this layout, I just put the papers *from the upcoming kit* in place and added some pics with stroks and shadows, then I changed the "title" and "journaling text layers into the text I wanted.

Scrapping Fonts, layouts and update on kit!

Hi there!
I hope you all had a great easter. We went to my parents, and had a great time. I have even scrapped a few of all the pics I took there, and I'll show the layouts after I have presented you to some of my favorite fonts.

Fonts are a scrappers best friend. They can add that extra touch to a layout, and a lot of them add a special feeling to the layout, or complete the theme of it by its look.
I decided to let you see my three favorites (the ones I use most at the moment). There's a link to a free download for each font too.

I bet you recognize them, as I tend to use them in freebies, kits and layouts a lot, am I right? *lol* Anyway, some of you have been asking what they are called, and so I decided to show some off. I might do this again if you like the idea, I do have tons of fonts!!

I have used some of the fonts on my latest layouts:
Here's Lucas just a few days ago. I used Al Sandra on this one, with a white stroke and a small shadow.

Here are some other favorites of mine. I like mixing different fonts, but it can be hard to get it nice and not messy. Did I make it this time? *lol*
The little fellow on the horse (who is called Lyster, by the way) is Lucas. This was taken last friday. Lyster is 5.6 feet high (or 160 centimeters) and Lucas STILL wanted him to trot and run faster, faster. He's following in my footsteps, haha.

Oh well, I better get going.. I'm working on the new kit with a household theme.. remember? At first I thought I'd go with the colors of the images I bought, but then I decided to add some purple and blue tones to it.. here's the color palette I'm using:
Pretty, isn't it? If you have any sayings like "home sweet home", "home is where the heart is" and so on, I'd love to hear from you! I'd also like ideas for items to include. I know frames are given, but what type? Brackets, circles, squares... and what more should a good kit include? Please let me know as I am having some issues finding the right items to add, it's been a while!! *lol*

I won't hold you anymore, I'm off to get Lucas from his daycare.

CU Blue Freebie

Hey there.

I am back, and this time I bring a blue freebie. This kit was originally going to be a lot bigger, but I got some cute graphics and felt like starting a kit that matched the graphics, so I decided to give this away as a small freebie, I'm still "practising" to get back to my old designing skills :o)
Anyway, this one, like all the other freebies I have given away lately, is free for commercial and any other type of use, so there's no TOU included.
So.. Here's how it looks:

CU Styles Freebie

Hi!!

I have finally taken the time to learn how to make Photoshop Styles, and I'm giving away my first attempts. I made one wooden style, great for smaller elements and text, and another one wit a silver stroke and gold filling. The metal style is one with a smaller stroke for text, and another one for the elements.

These are free for Commercial use, and it would be fun to hear your opinions about them, since they are my very first attempt..I am aware that they are pretty big right now and will try to make them smaller in the future!! I made them in CS4.

Cherry Spring-CU OK Freebiekit

Hey there!!

I hope you're having a great weekend. Me, I have been trying my skills as a designer a little, and I have to say it has been fun, but also a little bit hard to go back to designing, I don't have all that much inspiration, but I'm getting there, don't worry!! *lol*
I decided to put together a small freebie kit that I decided to call Cherry Spring, mostly because the red color I used in it reminds me of cherries.
It's not very big or fancy, but it's a start, and I also included the previous freebies I made rescently in it, so you will get the monthtags and the wordart too, except for the stuff on the preview. I really hope anyone can use this, I know it's not at all what I used to make, but I need to do some practising before I become my "old self" again, I suppose!!

New award and a baaaad blogger!

Hi all!
I know it's been a long time since I last posted. I have been under the water, sick and had no inspiration what so ever. I still feel a bit uninspired, but I suppose I can't have it all back at once, now can I?
I recieved an award from the wonderful Leaonna, I feel so blessed to see she's still thinking of me, even though I've just "disappeared". Here it is:
I'd like to forward it, but since I really don't know if anyone is still reading my blog, I'm not sure who to give it to.. Leaonna would get it, if she wasn't the one I recieved it from.. June would too, and Tracy aka Lattedah Designs.. But then again, I would love to see if anyone even gets here nowadays ;o)

I will try to get busy working on some layouts, I am not all that inspired, but I di have some nice filters for my new CS4, that might help!!

I will try to be a better digidesigner/scrapper and update more often again!!

Lots of horses in my life right now

Hey all!
I am still alive, but I have been quite busy working with horses lately. Since we moved I have been looking for one or several horses I can help out with, and I've beem looking at two. First, Arja, who was nice, but it was an hour drive to even get to her, and then one hour back home.. that's a little bit too far. Sad but true.
She was cute though. Here's a layout I made from some pics I took of Lucas and her:
The pics are not the greatest ones I have taken, but that's because my camera is slowly dying :o( plus it was dark.. But Lucas had a blast!

I have been riding today too, and even Peter was riding for a while, and we managed to capture it so there's evidence!! *lol* He was riding a horse called Hollywood, "Holly", and I have been out riding Hera with him on Lyster too, but didn't bring a camera :o( Anyway, I made another layout showing the horse-lover in Peter:
Isn't that cute? That's Peter with Hera on the big pic, and riding Holly today, and with Pearl and Hera in the pasture. It's sooo nice to have found someone that can join me in my "horsey" part of life too, not just nag about it!!
I made everything in the lo's myself btw.
I haven't found time to scrap it, but I took a shot of the horse I was riding today too, Olav. Here he is!
Cute, don't you think? I'll go back on sunday to ride him again!! I can't wait!!! He was SUCH a sweet little horse. I'm so glad to have found him!

CT for Deanna Jones aka Flower Scrap

Hey all, this is just a wuick note to brag..*lol* I was asked to join the CT over at Flower Scrap, and of course I took the oppurtunity!!
My first layout is made from the kit called Frostee that will be released Jan 1st 2009.
Here it is:

It matched my sweater SO well I decided to take away most of the colors and let the blue parts speak.. hehe. That's me on the big pic, hugging Lyster last saturday. I'm also having a cozy moment with Hera on the left, and Peter is playing with her in the right pic. We had some fun that day!! Thanks Deanna for sharing time and talent!!

Free grab bag

Hi there!
I thought I'd give you a small gift in the shape of a grab bag. I haven't made a preview since it's some items I made to help out a friend with some layouts, and since I made it I think it's a waste not sharing it.. *lol*
But first I wanna show a layout I made last night, another horsey one to show the similarities between Pearl and her sister Tella..
Items used are made by me. Pärla is the swedish word for pearl, and since some fonts don't have the letter "ä" (sounds like the first "e" in the word "there"..) I translated it in the previous layout.
I borrowed a ribbon from Leaonna and made it my own by adding horses to it.

Happy Holidays a bit too late!

Hi there.
I am sorry I haven't been around but we had a huge storm and I wasn't able to connect to the internet at all for days!! Plus we left for the Christmas celebrations with my parents and some other events-birthdays.
I am back home now, and I have scrapped some pics I took when we went to see the horses I used to work with yesterday. I can't belive Pearl has grown so much!! She was just a baby the last time I saw her.. But then again, I have been away for some time now..
To show you the difference, here's a little lo I made when she was just a few days old..
(I used a template from Tracy for this one and added my own styles and stuff..)
And look, here she is NOW:
I didn't use a template, but I did use a freebie kit I found at Flower Scrap (by Deanna Jones) called Celebration. I did make the chrome frame myself, but I added her stars. The text is also made by me except for the number 6. That's from the alpha included in the free kit. ;o)

Hmm. I have some more pics to scrap, and I will have to give you some more freebies, I did promise, didn't I? But that will come later on this week, I'm too tired right now.
I hope you all had a great Christmas and that you'll have a good week until New Year's Eve too. I don't have plans at all, so it'll be calm and quiet, hehe.

Ellie's Angels Challenge

Hey there!!
I decided to join in on the fun over at Ellie Lash designs CT blog. You're supposed to download a boring Qp and make it your own by adding Ellie elements and what ever you like. I decided to recolor the Qp to start with, it was christmasy red at the start, but since I barely own any christmas related pics that haven't already been scrapped, I decided to make it more neutral. I added several different freebies from Ellie's blog, and it turned out like this in the end:

I also flipped it, and well.. I kinda like it, even though I didn't know what to do from it from the beginning. It was a lot of fun, so THANKS to Mandi of the "Angels" for a great challenge!

December Freebie 16-18

Hi again!
I am back home, and I have made you a small freebie to compensate the ones I didn't publish before I went to the vet with my cat. She's fine btw, just need some meds for 2 weeks.
I will try to make larger freebies for a couple of days now, since I have been a bad blogger lately..*lol* but right now, it's in the middle of the night over here, so I decided I'll make it from tomorrow and I hope that's ok.
Here's what you're getting for now:
It's one paper and the pattern is shown in 100% in the square for you to see. Some laces may look nice on some layouts, and hearts for decoration, well, I can't see that go wrong, can you? *lol*

December Freebie 15 and a layout I made

Hi there.
Today is sunny and snowy in Sweden, so I took some pics of Nemo outdoors. I made a layout, testing a new technique. or well, not new, but I never used it before personally.. I made his ears pop out of the frame. It ended up like this:
It was some great fun to make this lo, so I guess I'm getting back on track now ;o)
I also made you some bragbookpages last night, like I said in the earlier post. They turned out like this:

I am still having troubles with blogger on and off, plus I had a huge headache yesterday, so I am sorry to be late again, but I hope you will like the freebie anyway!

I really like chrome, hehe.. I used a branch to decorate the frame, and well.. I think it looks kinda pretty myself anyway. The zipper is a nice thing to use in layouts too, it looks really cool on some of the ones I have seen! So I decided to add one for you to test out!
And papers and bows.. well, ok so they are not exacty in a december palette, but I was thinking of babies, and their first christmas celebrations. I hope you'll be able to use it in some way ;o)

I hope you find some time to visit the places where I got the CU items for the freebies? My store friends over at Shopbusyscrappin.com are very talented, and the ornament is made from a CU item over there. The Scrappin Cop Deb has a ton of freebies for CU, and I snagged the swirl and made it a glossy border with some help from one of the patterns I got when I bought the cute clipart I've used all over this kit, over at Scrappindoodles.com. To make the border glossy, I used a filter called Eyecandy 5 Impact then I choosed "glass".

Made a layout

Hi!
I am not gonna design anything until later on today, but I did make a layout from one of many wonderful freebie kits I found at Digiscrap Depot. I hope you are aware of that place?! It has over 40 000 freebies listed!!! SO worth a visit. Anyway, here's the layout I just finished:

This is Zita meeting SNOW for the very first time TODAY!!
I used a kit made by Shine Angel called A Wish For You. The kit prewiev looks like this:

It's all free, but the blog is in french. Just so you know ;o)

I made another layout from another freebie collab kit I grabbed.. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas by Lone Shell Creations. It has beautiful purple tones, and I just love purple, so I fell for it!! *lol*
Here's my layout. The text is in Swedish, and says Merry Christmas 2008.

Pics are all taken today to test out the santa costume for tomorrow..

Hi all!!
Today's post is early. What a change!! *lol* Anyway, I had a look at the download numbers, and it seems like you liked frames and chrome, so I made you some more. Today I bring you 2 frames with puffy felt and chrome. What a combo, you may think, but I really liked how they turned out!! I hope you'll agree!
I also got inspired to make a little snowflake in a chain. If you don't like the chain, just erase it and keep the snowflake as a decoration! And finally, I decided to let you have some puffy felt hearts too, to go with the frames. You may notice it's a little bit patriotic colors, but I didn't really mean for that to happen, it just did!! *lol* I didn't see it until I made the prewiev. How silly is that?
Anyway, here's your prewiev:
The hearts are separate, i just made them look tight in the prewiev since the beige one is kinda hard to see on the background I choosed.

Hey there!!
It's time for day 7 in the December Freebie. It's time for some frames and a tag, plus some flowers. I know december isn't all that "floral" but there are still some flowers that are kinda typical for the season, and I found an action that makes a cute flower pretty similar to the ones that are common around christmas.
I will also add some more "general items" that may or may not be all that "christmasy" later on this month, as I have found some brushes to play with that has a lot of flowers and swirls and stuff. And there will be hearts!! Christmas is a lot about love, isn't it?! At least I think so!!

Did some scrapping and can't decide..lol

Hi all!!
I did some scrapping and I used the freebies I got from Ellie Lash. They are really nice, and I mixed several different ones in the layout I made, but I really couldn't decide what picture to add to it, so I saved two copies of the same layout, how silly is THAT?! *lmao*
I am currently trying to get better at different types of scrapping, I look a lot at other peoples layouts and participate in challenges and I also check some templates to get inspiration. It's a lot of fun, and here's what I have ended up with today:
This is Lucas at age 3 months.
But I also wanted to use a picture where he is older, 2,5 years old.. so i actually made this:
I never EVER made a layout with two different pics before, but I just couldn't decide wich one was better.. Any votes for any of these? *lol*

Wow, just 20 days to Christmas, at least here in Sweden. 21 for you in America. Kinda strange that different countries celebrates the same thing at different dates, but hey, I don't mind. I will make you gifts all the way to December 25th! Swede or non swede, my visitors and friends are american, so I should do what I can to please them, right? *lol*

Today I have a freebie I made last night after I checked some blogs, and realised that not all freebies need to be pure elements or papers. so today, you're getting desktops. Just do as you should have done with a Quick Page; open in Photoshop, GIMP or what ever program you are using, add a picture in the transparent area and save. Then add your desktop and voila, a more personal computer!
I made this desktop to go with the kit I'm giving you so feel free to add from the other gifts if you think there's something missing, or write something if you want to. The sky is your limit!

Hey all!
Ok, so today it's time for freebie number 3. You will get some more cute scrapping things, and I will continue on the Gingersnap theme today too. Later on there will be polarbears and penguins, just a little hint..*lol*
But first let me tell you.. This post should have been made hours ago, but I was away, having a "date" downtown. I am in a Swedish forum that focuses on Fly Lady and getting your home looking great. One of the other people I've met on the forum is someone that lives in my own town, and we decided to meet IRL, and today we did. Let me tell you I was more than just a little surprised when we sat down and had a cup of coffee (ok, I had a coke, but still..) and started talking, and all of a sudden we realized we'd been talking for three hours!!!
She was so sweet, so funny and so nice, and we are SO gonna see each other again ;o)
I may be negative or something, but a forum about cleaning is not the place I expected to meet such a nice person..*lmao* But I am happy about it!

December Freebie 1 & 2

I hope you are having a great day. My day is coming to an end, and I had a great one. My son became 4 today, and that's why I haven't updated until now. Sorry!
I am currently working on a December Freebie, like a lot of other designers, and since I was a bit late in the start, you'll get part 1&2 zipped up in one today.
At first, I thought I'd make a huge kit and give it away one in all, but I love getting visited, so I decided to do it like this instead. Please come back here pretty late if you live in America, since I live in Sweden. There is a time difference...

I have decided NOT to make more kits for sale, at least not for quite some time. I wanna focus on making thing just for the fun of it for a while now.. so the freebies in December are gonna be a special thing, I will keep giving freebies every now and then after Christmas too, but not as often. I will focus on finding me some designers to scrap for as a CT instead. After all, the scrapping is the most fun part if you ask me!!

She's such a great designer, and I will be using the papers for more lo's than this one, let me tell you!! The elements are great too, but at the moment I don't have that much christmas feeling, so I have kind of a hard time scrapping christmas layouts. But that time will come!

I made another layout from Ellie's freebies. She has some great stuff for grabbing, so I couldn't help myself, I grabbed another freebie and even though it's part of a Valentine Collab, I didn't need the rest of the collab to come up with a cute design!!

I think it was a lot of fun to make this one, and if I can have a say, it turned out really cute..*lol* Lucas loves going fast, and high speeds are his favorites. So the picture and theme wasn't all that hard, even though it was a "romantic" kit..

Hello!
I have been looking around the web to see if I could find some designers to be inspired by. And I did. Misty Cato has been a favorite of mine for quite some time, but I found another great designer called Ellie Lash.
I decided to download some of her freebies, and so far I've come up with these layouts from the freebies:
This is made from pics I took in March, at the place where Hera and the other horses I used to ride lives. They have hundreds of sheep, and it was not a rare situation at the time, so I managed to catch the miracle of life with my camera. I used several of Ellie's freebies for this one.

Here's another layout displaying Lucas at his daycare pictures this October. He just happened to look very "boyish" at this pic, so i decided to go with the blue in his shirt, and work from there.
I used several of Ellie's freebies for this one too, and I'm amazed how easily I "changed" my scrapping using her creations. usuallyt I'm not a huge fan of cardboard, but this bracket frame.. it said "pick me, pick me"..*lol*

This pic was taken last year. Lucas is decorating my parents tree, and he had a lot of fun, but it was kinda hard too, so he had to focus to get it right..*lol*
I used a lot of different freebies from Ellie for this one, and the tree branch is actually just one that I copied several times and mad a sort of a frame from ;o)

Anyway, I am glad to be back in the "flow" again, and I will keep scrapping her freebies, if nothing else. That's for sure!!

Just two layouts I made..

YAY, I feel like scrapping again!
I got a new kit from June, and I downloaded it instantly to make something from it. It's called Ellie & Jo Winter Fun and the preview of the kit looks like this:

I didn't use all the items and papers included, but still.. here it is:
The horse is one of the ones I used to ride before I moved in with Peter, he's something called a Nordsvensk, a Swedish breed made for working in the forest and carry heavy weights. But that doesn't mean he is slow and boring, trust me..*lol*

Here's another one I made from the same kit:
The pics I used are old since we haven't had that much snow just yet, and the snow we have had is gone already.. So I decided to go with the older pics. I think they ended up fairly good with this kit..

Layout!! YAY

Hi again!
I finally made it. I made a layout and I also made a desktop just for fun. I am amazed, since I haven't done ANYTHING in over a month, and all of a sudden this..*lol*
I used freebies from one of my favorite designers, Misty Cato.
Here's what I've made:
This one is from Misty's blog template, and I also used her heart and button flower freebies. The pic is taken in front of our place about a month ago. I wanted to keep the lo simple since it's been a while. I did make the papers myself using Misty's colors though..

I also made my very first desktop! I used Misty's hearts and I recolored her frame from one of the freebies. This one too is made simple on purpose. I do think that the picture is the important thing though..*lol*
So I guess this means I'm getting back on track, slowly but still...
I will try to keep scrapping and who knows, one of these days ther just might be a small freebie for you to snag! I hope so anyway!!

Bad blogger, shame on me!

Hey there. I'm still alive. Even though you might not think so..*lol*
It's been a busy time over here the past month or so. Peter has been away like I told you in the last post, and I have been tired and feeling down again, I guess I over estimated my abilities a bit in my last post. Anyway.. Lucas is becoming 4 dec 2nd, and I have my b-day coming up dec 5th too, so there's a lot to do around here. I haven't even looked at digiscrapping since the last post, but today I did have a go to my old favorites, and I actually felt a little bit like scrapping. I was kinda amazed!! *lol*
If I do get some time I will probably post some layouts here soon.. nothing much, I'm sure, but at least a start!
I can give you a glance of Zita, I did get some shots of her a while ago.. Here she is:

First time outdoors and ALLOWED to be outdoors..*lol* She is such an escape artist..
Curious little one ;o) She wanted to go for a ride, and I didn't allow her to. I'm so mean!!
And I'll finish this post with a pic of Lucas that was taken at his daycare. They get pictures taken every year, and this is the one for 2008.
He does have his daddy's arms..*lol* Looks like a little bodybuilder, hehe. But it might be the angle too.. he doesn't look like that normally..

Fresh Start!

Hello there.
I erased the entire blog and decided to start over from scratch.

I know I have been away for a LONG time. I had a serious crash and burn, and I am still not all healed up, but I am feeling a lot better though.
I hope you all had a good time, and that you have done some scrapping. Me, I haven't touched the scrapping for weeks, and the designing.. hahaha.. nope. Nothing. But in a way, I feel like starting over, and try to get back in buissness. After all, scrapping is a great way to have fun, isn't it?
right now, I am in the middle of a cleaning project, my bf Peter is away for 2 weeks, and won't be home until November 14th. I decided to try to get this place cleaned up a bit, and I am using FLY lady as my mentor :o)
I will take before and after pictures so you can see what I have done *lol* but I just started, so I haven't uploaded to the computer just yet. I thought I'd take some more pics before I do.
I did manage to make one little layout recently, last week actually. But I didn't upload it, since it feels like I wanted to start all over with my scrapping again. This layout is nothing but a recovery-work, and I will most likely use the picture in another lo, but here it is:

I took this pic in October when Lucas and I took a walk and he played while I sat down in the sun for a while with Nemo.
It was a beautiful day, let me tell you!
